About the position
Mission Overview
We are seeking an experienced technical profile for a consultancy mission at a client site representing Keystone Solutions. The mission involves designing, managing, and optimizing a critical InterSystems IRIS database environment within the Systems Division, with a strong emphasis on security, reliability, and continuity of police information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational database management including health-checks, monitoring, patch management, journaling, mirroring, and fail-over tests.
- Data modeling and integration involving globals/SQL tables, business services, processes, and operations.
- Performance and scalability optimization through index analysis, query tuning, ECP cache servers, and shard clusters.
- Design, implement, test, and document necessary components while automating deployments via GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Ansible.
- Support backend application development in Python and, if necessary, the implementation and configuration of other DBMS systems.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of InterSystems IRIS (or Caché/Ensemble), particularly ObjectScript and the Python API of IRIS.
- Ability to design database solutions, configure journaling/mirroring/ECP/sharding, and manage the environment securely and efficiently.
- Thorough knowledge of operational database management including daily health-checks, monitoring, patch management, and configuration of journaling and mirror sets.
- Experience in performance and scalability optimization and automation using GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Ansible.
